Now that we have successfully completed Phase One of the K.M.P.E. we now enter
Phase Two of this project.
Nabil and Zoilo remain in Kurdistan to continue the work there while Stephen Jon has returned to the U.K. to start the process of sharing the experience with various communities in the East Midlands. Therefore you will now see the blog reflecting two parallel journeys and showing more than one point of view with this bifurcated authorship.
Stephen Jon is in consultation with City Arts and Long Journey in preparation for an event in Nottingham on 9th December using the K.M.P.E. as a case study for "Cultural Cohesion Conference".Also he will be contributing to an event hosted by 'Artists Voice' dealing with Artists working Internationally.
Stephen is to begin the process of devising a performance piece based upon the experience of the K.M.P.E. and is in consultation with members of the Kurdish Community in Nottingham in order to clarify some of the stories he may use. The current themes include the Kurdish New Year story, 'Zuhac' and the Cycle of the seasons.
